Dock Contacts — Business Portal

What Are Dock Contacts?

Dock contacts are the people drivers should reach out to when they arrive at your facility. These are displayed on your location's listing in the Dock Watch driver app — giving drivers a direct line to the right person instead of calling a main number and getting transferred around.

Typical contacts include: Dock Manager, Receiving Supervisor, Scheduling Coordinator, Security Gate.


Managing Contacts

Go to Locations → Manage Location → Contacts in the sidebar.


Adding a Contact

  1. Click Add Contact (blue button, top right).
  2. Fill in the contact's details:

- Name (required) - Title — e.g., Dock Manager, Receiving Supervisor (optional) - Phone — Drivers can tap this to call directly from the app (optional) - Email — Drivers can tap this to email directly (optional)

  1. Click Add to save.

Editing a Contact

  1. Hover over the contact row in the table.
  2. Click the edit icon (pencil).
  3. Update the fields.
  4. Click Save.

Deleting a Contact

  1. Hover over the contact row.
  2. Click the delete icon (trash can).
  3. A confirmation dialog will appear: "Are you sure you want to delete this contact? This action cannot be undone."
  4. Click Delete to confirm.

Tips

  • Add at least one contact with a direct phone number — drivers say this is one of the most valuable things on a listing.
  • Use the Title field to make it clear who handles what (e.g., "Scheduling — M-F 7am-4pm").
  • Keep contacts up to date. An outdated phone number is worse than no number.
