Dock Notes — Driver App
What Are Dock Notes?
Dock Notes are crowd-sourced tips from drivers who have actually been to a facility. They cover practical, on-the-ground information that doesn't show up in a formal review — things like which gate to use, who to call when you arrive, where to park, and what rules to follow.
Every driver can read them. Every driver can add them.
Reading Dock Notes
On any facility's detail screen, tap the Dock Notes tab (fourth tab).
You'll see notes organized by type:
- Amenities — what's available (restrooms, parking, lumper service, etc.)
- Rules — requirements you need to follow
- Directions — gate numbers, where to check in, how to navigate the yard
- Contacts — people to call when you arrive
Adding a Dock Note
You can add a dock note two ways:
- Tap + Add Dock Note (green button) on the facility's detail screen
- Tap the + Add Dock Note button inside the Dock Notes tab
How to Submit a Note
- Choose what type of note you're adding:
- Amenity — something the facility has or offers - Rule — something drivers are required to do - Direction — navigation or yard instructions - Contact — a person to reach out to
- For Amenities, choose from the preset list or type a custom one:
- Restrooms Available, Truck Parking, Lumper Service, Appointment Required, Drop & Hook, Scales Available, Fuel Nearby, 24/7 Operation, Security Gate, Loading Dock, Overnight Parking, Wi-Fi Available
- For Rules, choose from the preset list or type a custom one:
- No Idling, Check In Required, Background Check Required, No Firearms, Speed Limit 10 MPH, Hard Hat Required, Safety Vest Required, No Cell Phones in Warehouse, TWIC Card Required, Clean Cab Inspection
- For Directions or Contacts, type your note in the text field.
- Tap Submit (green button).
Verified vs. Pending Notes
When you first submit a note, it shows as pending until it's reviewed. Once verified, it moves to the main list. This keeps the information accurate and spam-free.
